Is that super red arowana or golden red ? Do you use tanning ?

Tbh walking into a room with a giant fish tank with a huge fish like that would be awesome, but walking up to it and realizing there’s schools of tiny fish in with it would be cooler than just having so many it’s obvious. Just a really beautiful detail I think you should keep it like this.

Sorry to say that eye doesn't look much better, it was probably not worth the risk of the fish. Also if the towel was wet it would help not to take off so much lime coat

Weight the lid down, Arowana will jump, especially if stressed due to breeding. I'd of moved the 3rd none breeding arowana into another tank. lid needs to be weighted down.. Can't wait to see if the surgery works, I hope does

Not sure if you do or you mentioned it but, wetting your hands while handling the fish can decrease the loss of slime and help to inhibit that growth of bacteria. Anyway love the vids

Adi Mamidyala ya basically taking that slime coat off which helps them fight against different harmful fungus, bacteria, parasites, whatever can get in there. People forget our hands secrete a pretty acidic oil, pretty much burning the fish if dry.

Samurai Falcon I’m no king of DIY but I have a decent amount of experience with wood working. I wouldn’t recommend pine. Pine is a soft wood while birch is a hardwood. Pine is generally not great for building. It’s soft, prone to water damage, and rots much quicker than hardwoods. Other hardwoods include Oak, cedar, maple, etc.

Catching it is the hardest part. Try to prevent use net to catch it. Use big plastic bag, this method will prevent any unwanted damage. Any surgery do it in suitable size tub with some water in it. Thats how I do it.

I thought I was done cycling. I was testing everyday or every other day. And I thought I was done. I did 25%-50% water changes until it leveled out. I was seeing particles in the the water and added polyfil and now my water is clear and the water has stabilized. But any tips or tricks and opinions are welcome. Like I said I'm a beginner

Don’t know if it’s legal or not but. You should try keeping a barramundi. They grow very big and a are a beautiful fish. Also can’t go wrong with an Australian fish.

When fish keepers mention the sump as part of the system's capacity, ok yes that's all fine and dandy, however 500 gals of water is flowing through a 300 gal system but it doesn't change the room the fish has to swim in. Just always wonder if they're taking that into account.
